  • 2 pounds chuck steak (cubed)
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 1 large bell pepper (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 large tomatoes (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onions, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Cube the chuck steak into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Brown the cubed chuck steak on all sides before adding the chopped bell peppers. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and diced tomatoes; cook for an additional couple of minutes.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well before pouring in beef broth along with seasonings. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 2 hours until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
