Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 white onion, finely diced
  • 16 slices American cheese
  • 12 count dinner rolls
  • Homemade burger sauce (mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish)
  • Optional toppings (pickles, onion rings)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Butter a baking sheet and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper; stir well.
  5. Slice dinner rolls in half and place the bottom halves on the baking sheet.
  6. Layer cheese over rolls followed by the beef mixture and another layer of cheese.
  7. Top with the other half of the rolls.
  8. Brush tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  10. While baking, whisk together burger sauce ingredients until smooth.
  11. Serve warm with burger sauce on the side.
