  • 12 oz shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dry shallots
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cup pasta water

Instructions

  1. Boil farfalle pasta in a large pot according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Mix together paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pound chicken breasts slightly and season both sides with the spice mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; sear chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the pan, and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove chicken and add butter to the same skillet; melt it and stir in shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Whisk in gluten-free flour; then pour in chicken broth followed by heavy cream until smooth.
  8. Stir in shredded Parmesan cheese until melted; adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  9. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce to coat evenly; slice chicken and place on top before serving.
