- 1 stalk green onion
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 garlic clove
- ½ inch ginger
- Optional: 1 tbsp gochujang for spice
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, avocado oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and diced Korean pear in a bowl until the sugar dissolves.
- Coat chicken thighs in the marinade and let sit for at least 20 minutes (or up to overnight).
- Preheat your air fryer or grill to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken thighs until fully cooked—about 10 minutes in an air fryer or approximately 5–6 minutes per side on the grill.
