Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Thighs
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp Tony’s seasoning
- 1 cup Apricot Preserves
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup Bourbon
- Dash sriracha
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (for frying)
- 4 slices Brioche Bread
- 4 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp almond extract (or vanilla)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch nutmeg
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Clean the chicken and pat dry. Marinate in buttermilk, salt, and white pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the frying batter by mixing self-rising flour with onion powder, garlic, paprika, and seasoning.
- Coat marinated chicken in the batter and fry until golden brown, about 7 minutes per side.
- For the sauce, simmer apricot preserves, chili sauce, honey, bourbon, and sriracha until thickened.
