Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders are a scrumptious twist on the beloved classic hot brown sandwich, transforming a traditional open-faced dish into bite-sized delights perfect for any gathering.   • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (245 g) whole milk (room temperature)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup (113 g) white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup (25 g) parmesan cheese (grated)
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 package (12-count) King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 pound turkey breast (leftover or thickly sliced deli turkey)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (sliced)
  • 810 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth.
  3. Gradually pour in 1 cup of whole milk while continuously whisking to avoid lumps.
  4. Stir in kosher salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg.
  5. Add shredded white cheddar cheese and grated parmesan cheese; stir until melted and creamy.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Slice the package of King's Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
  8. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish.
  9. Layer sliced turkey evenly over the rolls.
  10. Add tomato slices on top of the turkey.
  11. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the tomatoes.
  12. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  13. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the slider assembly.
  14. Brush melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with garlic salt and chopped parsley.
  15. Pour any remaining cheese sauce over the top if desired.
  16. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  17. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
