  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Use Dutch process cocoa powder)
  • 1 1/2 TBSP cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup marshmallow crème

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Prepare a 9X9-inch baking pan with nonstick spray and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and egg yolk until pale. Mix in melted butter and oil.
  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and dollop marshmallow crème on top; swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out slightly wet but not with batter.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
