  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, blend cornstarch and water until smooth. Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Line a baking sheet with oiled aluminum foil and place salmon skin-side down.
  4. Generously baste each filet with the teriyaki sauce, reserving some for later.
  5. Bake for approximately 14 minutes until flaky and moist.
  6. Broil for one minute to achieve a golden finish.
  7. Serve over rice with optional garnishes like sesame seeds and green onions.
