Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 lb boneless rib-eye steak (sliced or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chopped green bell pepper and onion in half the melted butter over medium heat until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt the remaining butter and cook the rib-eye steak seasoned with salt and pepper until browned (3-4 minutes).
  3. Combine the sautéed veggies with the cooked steak in the pan.
  4. On each egg roll wrapper, place half a slice of cheese and 2-3 tablespoons of the filling. Fold according to package instructions and seal edges with water.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.
