  • 750g chicken breast (cut into chunks)
  • 2 onions (quartered)
  • 3 tsp garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 500g broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Place chicken chunks, onions, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a slow cooker.
  2. Set the slow cooker to low heat and cook for 4-6 hours until the chicken is tender.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth; add to the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  4. Stir in broccoli florets and switch to high heat; cook for an additional 30 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
