Description

Ingredients

  • 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • ½ stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 34 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (divided)
  • ⅓ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Sliced bread
  • Softened butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine drained tuna with onion, celery, garlic, parsley, mayonnaise, olive oil, mozzarella cheese, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  3. Butter one side of a slice of bread and place it in the skillet with the buttered side down.
  4. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the tuna salad onto the browning side of the bread. Butter another slice on one side and place it on top of the filling with the non-buttered side facing down.
  5. Grill until both sides are golden brown.
